~~Looking back and thinking EKKSS~~
Hey everyone... Do you ever look back at old Images and pictures and think to yourself....what the heck was I thinking??? Ive been doing that the past few days as Ive been putting all our photo's onto discs to protect them for the future.
I found pictures from around our home and though I'd share some with you... When we built this house we had miss matched furniture as you do...alot of wood Baltic coloured stains. The front sitting room very quite modern with a Yellow (EEKKKS ) yes Yellow Couch and a silver TV unit and yukky Coffee table. That's pretty much it, not much atmosphere..just a room... hmmmmmm Ive been searching for a picture and cannot find one, but the room was BLAHHHH.....
We have done some major changes to our Dining room, originally was a window in the space but we removed it and added french doors....LOVE LOVE.... The wall was a terrible green colour..not sure what I was thinking there... we had a colonial type table unpainted..another EEKKKSSS..... Shall share with you some pictures...
See what I mean about the Green wall and the Dining set....eeekkkksss and all the clutter...ahhhhhhhh |
Much of the Clutter gone here..thankfully..green wall was still a feature....boy O boy MAJOR EKKKSS |
Isnt it funny how we change over time, will have to see what I can find of my own!

Hi Mands...I get what you are talking about..
ReplyDeleteHEY..we ALL change over time...
thats a normal process..BUT yes..
it is very embarrassing looking over our past FAUX PAS!!~
We all live & learn..
xx andrea
Hi Mandii, I don't think it looks as bad as you say, I love your second pic, with all the clutter and also love your 3rd pic. Yes our tastes do change over time. Before I went all shabby I had a mediterranean look with blue lounges and terracotta pots and the table I still have with terracotta tiles on the top. Before that I had apricot faux leather lounges with black furniture but I remember how much I loved it then!! Have to laugh about it now! As much as I love the shabby look now I know it's not for everyone but as long as I'm happy that's the main thing! Have fun with it! take care, Maryann.
ReplyDeletelove it!!!
ReplyDeleteI ACTUALLY LOVE THE GREEN WALL...... BUT THE BLUE IS LOVELY TOO. YES I HAVE THOUGHT THE SAME THING. UGH, HOW COULD I HAVE LIVED LIKE THAT. HAHAHAHA GUESS WE ALL CHANGE FROM TIME TO TIME. THANK GOODNESS. LOVELY LOVELY.
ReplyDeleteHi Mandii,Yes I think we all have had those times when we think "what was I thinking!!!"
ReplyDeleteWhen we first got married I had an apricot lounge with black coffee table and tv unit uggghhh!!!! lol
Ha ha... just laughing after Lucinda's comment. We had the apricot (hand-me-down) lounge too. Must have been the early 90's.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny looking back. Thanks for sharing the early photos Mandii.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
